Yesterday had an interesting experience and learnt something about the boat which you may find useful...went for a day sail with my wife and planned for strong winds... the afternoon saw the wind building and added to the sea breeze made for some high mean wind speeds and pretty massive gusts....we considered options and looking at my course back I thought I would experiment with sailing just under jib alone (rather than just main as perhaps we would normally do)...downwind was obviously fine (with tide) but I actually found that I could point pretty well and in fact we made a really good (and safe, no dramas) passage home. There was an added advantage as we had a lee shore landing and were all ready set up for it ...perfect !

Actually it shows how flexible and well balanced the boat is and I would definately do this again (with tide)

Cheers
