Following the earlier threads on the subject of CB pop-ups, Rob Gutteridge at Laser sent me (free of charge) Laser's revised part. Its now a piece of radiator hose - and before you all fall about laughing, it really works. Time will tell if this is a lasting solution but my felings are it will be. We've not really had the opportunity to push the boat hard and give the new friction device a real try out but so far it works upto about ~ 12 Kts (as the boat starts to plane).
