I was giving my Strat a winter clean and inspection the other day. Whilst doing so I counted an innordinate number of chips in the rolled gunwhale edge. This bit of the boat seems to be very delicate and just at the right height to be clouted every time we get near a pontoon! Does any one know of a simple and not too expensive pvc/rubber fender or covering section which may be purchased in white or light grey?
BTW Happy New Year one and all!

Mark,
Laser do a rubber gunwhale for the Stratos. My one had it when I bought it. Apparently it costs about £300 when you order the boat. I don't know if they would retro fit it for you or supply the rubber for self-mounting. Might be worth following up with them. It is a light grey colour and very discrete blending nicely into the sidedeck and saves the paintwork when the boat is alongside. |
