Posted - 13 May 2011 : 17:31:36 Sandy, The previous post was a test to see if it worked! I hope you all have a great weekend at Warsash. Sorry I can't be there, a double clash of fixture. I'm still in need of a crew for the Nationals so if there is anyone at Warsash who would like to volunteer, give them my number and we can arrange it. Hope to see you in Whitstable. Good sailing, Mike 01590-683894 |

Posted - 18 Oct 2010 : 15:11:52 We're proposing to hold a Laser Stratos Open and Training session at Warsash Sailing Club over the weekend of the 14th/15th May 2011
Warsash SC is situated on the River Hamble and racing takes place in Southampton Water and the Solent. It's a great location with superb facilities and sheltered slipway and pontoon launching. There is ample parking at the club for all boats and free parking for cars. The on-site catering is provided by a local restaurant company so we know that Saturday night dinner will be good!
Format...............
SATURDAY Breakfast Briefing. Rigging and Training session. Cruise or Fun-Race in the afternoon. De-Briefing. Dinner.
SUNDAY Breakfast Race Briefing Racing (three or four races) Debrief and Prize-giving
We'll tailor the training sessions to suit the attendees, so everyone has a useful and above all fun weekend. We will aim some of the training and activity towards “seamanship and general boat handling skills”, as well as “Stratos Racing” there may even be a “Start Racing Group” - so something for everyone. We will have a number of instructors/coaches available over the weekend.
This event will be open to all Stratos owners so if you have another Stratos at your club, why not invite them along.
The event fee will be £20 for the weekend which will cover all running costs/fees for instructors etc.
I look forward to hearing from lots of you. Make this the first date you put in your sailing calendar for next year!
Best wishes
Sandy
