Through one of our members – Mike Beggs – we have a standing invitation to join the Lymington Town dinghy cruises. Lymington Town Sailing Club holds regular Saturday cruises on the Western Solent with a planned route and RIB safety cover. These are a leisurely day sails, usually leaving about 10.30 am, stopping somewhere for lunch, and sail back for about 4 p.m. Bring your Stratos and see the Solent, where you can sail in either of two directions and have pubs or cafes on either hand. Meet at 09.30 for briefing and to decide the route. Wear a wet/dry suit if early in the year. A long line and a kedge may be useful if you don't want to put your boat on the beach. For more information see the Club Website www.ltsc.co.uk or call Mike Beggs tel: 01590-683894 or email mikebeggs@waitrose.com. Dates for 2006 are: Saturdays: April 1, May 13, June 3, July 1, August 5 and September 9th.
