Having sailed both stratos and omega at lot I thought i'd pass on some observations. The omega at plastic 6 seater has bigger sails and larger gunnals. Its narrower and you might think faster. I found it very tippy compared to the very stable stratos. The omega would capsize in a instant whereas the stratos would give you time to correct your mistake. The omega is heavier and sailing against each other upwind the stratos pull wins easily even with me at the helm. Never tested them down wind might be closer given the maasive spinney of the omega. The center console of the stratos make for easy mainsail cleating where as the omega cleat is to low down and has to be operate with your foot. Clearly new the statos is a much dearer boat but second hand the CB is a far superior boat to a new omega.
