Posted - 23 Aug 2010 : 21:22:25 There are some random bungies on the Stratos. I wonder what they are for? There is a black one which goes across the inside of the boat just aft of the mast. Turns out it is a dead ringer for the gennaker pole bungy. This proved to be very useful when on a day trip at the weekend my gennaker bungy wore through. But I can't believe it's real purpose was just to be a spare gennaker bungy? It didn't seem to be doing much else though...
What about the red and blue bungies just under the lip on the outside of the boat? No idea what they are for...
Cheers!

Posted - 30 Aug 2010 : 17:37:27 The trapeze shockcord doesn't go aft of the mast though. It is rigged from the trapeze loop down to an eyelet then forward to another eyelet, then across foreward of the mast.

Posted - 24 Aug 2010 : 15:53:58 Ah, that makes sense. Thanks for satisfying the curiosity!
I've been tying my paddle to the trapeze wires one, now it's on the gennaker pole I'll have to go back to stuffing the paddle in the gennaker sock...
Cheers!

The shock-chord you refer to is for the trapeze wires, which are an optional extra.

The red/blue cord/bungees under the gunwhales are righting lines for capsize recovery.
