Posted - 07 Sep 2008 : 21:20:20 Just wondered if anyone has removed the centreboard from their boat. Is it straightforward? Mine is very tight and needs some attention to make it easier to operate.
Any info gratefully received.

First, make sure the hose on the front of the board is not too tight. By loosening the two screws the board should move easier. If that does not cure the problem read on.
If the system is the same as on the Laser 2000 than put the boat on its side with the board right up. When you look in the centreboard case from the bottom side you will see a stainless steel plate on the centreboard held in place with two screws. If you undo the screws you can take the board out of the case through the top. Hope this will help
