Posted - 11 Jul 2008 : 21:19:25 Thanks for the thanks. It was GREAT to have such a good turn-out. 15 Entries and 6 visiting boats cruising on Friday. Sorry the weather was so diabolical - and it still hasn't improved much - we haven't had a dinghy race all week - and the keelboat race last night was in about 25kts !! It seems many will not be able to attend the Nationals 2008 Mk2 due to previous committments - including me as I am away for Falmouth Week. But my Stratos will be sailing the Nationals, with Richard Russell at the tiller. The Nationals Mk2 will be held as part of the Lymington Town Sailing Club Dinghy Regatta on 9th and 10th August. It is also a Laser 4000 Open Meeting so there will be good Social events. Any other Class getting 6 or more entries getting their own start, so we can achieve that I'm sure. Sandy has at least 6 engraved glass trophies to spread around the fleet, so get in line to collect one ! Put it in your diary. Also, weather permitting we could do another cruise on Friday afternoon 8th, if anyone is interested. Let me know if there any takers. Otherwise, have a great Nationals. Sorry I can't be there. Mike.

Ric said he enjoyed his introduction to dinghy sailing, and wants to go again, though he is away for the 9/10 August
