In a blow and when hiking out, sitting forward and generally trying to keep the boat as flat as possible, I find that my hand is at the very end of the extension and consequently not that comfortable.

I was wondering whether anyone has replaced the extension with a longer one and whether if I changed it that would be breaking class rules?

cheers

Mark

Mark. I have fitted an telescopic tiller which works a treat. (Also useful for messing around when windy with a crew who don't trapeze!)

Hi Mark
See ClassRules, under 'About the Class' (top of this page)
section.. '3. Permitted Placements, Additions, Alterations and Repairs.' (towards the end of the document)

I was thinking about this only the other day, but it's a trade off between having just enough tiller extension or finding it too long to maneuver under the boom.
