Hi All

Just wondered if there are any secret "ninja" technique's that aid getting the hull cover both on & off easily?? We recently took our newly purchased Statos for its 1st sail & soon relised that getting the hull cover off & back on is no easy task. Some heavy huffing & puffing on my behalf did eventually get the job done but I'm pretty sure were missing some obvious technique??

Thanks

I think the top cover is bad enough ! (particularly if the mast is down). I have trailed my boat all over and so far have managed without too much damage (I've said it, now its bound to happen) and most knocks and scrapes can easily be repaired....not sure how that helps but I'm impressed you even get the undercover on !

Cheers

Neil

I have to say I was wondering why anybody would have trouble fitting the top cover...

The bottow cover is indeed a bit more of a handful. You have to lift the front of the boat to get the cover under the hull.

Pascal

Hi Pascal

We've got the top cover sorted no problem. Our issue is with the bottom hull cover. We trailer the boat to wherever we choose to go sailing for the day so keeping the bottom cover on is ideal in an effort to stop any stones flicking up from the road.

To take the cover off, first remove all traps then starting from the bow pull the two halves from over the foredeck all the way back, then roll the cover back from the mast.

To put it back put the rolled cover on the stern, fit the corners then unroll it right to the mast. Then put the two fore halves back.

Regards,
Pascal
